Ntungamo authorities handover site for construction of 3.8 billion shillings seed school.

Authorities in the south western district of Ntungamo have today handed over the site for the construction of 3.8 billion shillings seed school.

The seed school, St.Benedict secondary school- Rutunguru in Kagarama town council ,whose construction will begin in a period of Two weeks, is set to bring a smile to a community which had no government school.

The construction of the school will be funded by the ministry of education and sports under the Uganda secondary school education expansion program with funding from the world bank and executed by Vidas Engineering services limited.

Ntungamo district vice chairperson Asuman Kigongo who represented the district chairperson Samuel Muchunguzi Rwakigooba revealed that the district is proud of the project adding that they will do maximum supervision and monitoring of the project to ensure that quality work is executed .

Ntungamo district education officer Denis Ntare revealed that the initiative is great and will boast the education sector in the area. He commended the ministry of education for the support adding that they are hopeful of quality work.

Speaking at the side handover , Eng.Denis Tumusiime the project engineer revealed that the project will be constructed in a period of 10 months and will see 8 classrooms constructed,Administration block,multipurpose hall,science block with two science laboratories ,2 preparation rooms, ICT and Library block,staff houses,playground and landscaping.

Benias Mugisha who represented the management of Vidas Engineering services limited revealed that the company was set to execute quality work in record time.

Rev.Fr.Nicholas Asingwire the priest for Kagamba parish commended the government of Uganda for working closely with the church in ensuring that quality education is provided to the communities saying that the area had not government aided school. He revealed that educating the community is way to go in ensuring that illiteracy is done away with.

The function was attended by school stakeholders,Members of the management committee among others.
