RHITES-South west donates medical supplies to Ntungamo district worth 61m

RHITES-South West has donated medical supplies to Ntungamo district worth 61.3 million shillings.

The items which included a baby warmer, gloves, delivery beds, Laboratory equipment, baby weighing scales, IT equipment and hand washing facilities among others were handed over to the district leadership on Tuesday 24th May 2022.

Speaking at the handover of the items at Ntungamo district headquarters, Dr Moses Mera the director clinical services at RHITES-South west revealed that the move is aimed at enhancing and supporting health service delivery.

He also commended the district leadership for working closely with the organization in ensuring that health service delivery is improved.

 
Ntungamo district local council five chairperson Sam Muchunguzi revealed that the district has had a great opportunity to be supported by RHITES-south west and commended the United States of America government for their continued support to the health sector in the district.

 
Ntungamo district chief administrative officer Nasser Mukiibi commended RHITES–South west for considering intervention in vital areas of maternal and child health.

 
Beatrice Chemisto the acting District health officer Ntungamo revealed that RHITES-southwest has always played a pivotal role in ensuring that health services are improved.
